Accepted a job with a company called Paradigm. I’ll be doing contracting work on the MRAP military vehicle, in support of the USMC. I’m working right by Quantico which makes for a easy commute for me. Got a pretty good offer plus they sponsor me for a security clearance, which is crucial and very important around DC. Tentative start date is July 1st, which is dependent on my preliminary security clearance being approved. I’ve also been looking at cars lately and hope to pick up a g35 here shortly. My friend swears STI’s are the sickest things ever, which I have to admit they are nasty, but I don’t want a damn race car so I’m goin with the Infiniti.
As far as poker goes, it really hasn’t, haven’t played much and don’t care to really. Definitely excited to get a career going which longterm is way more +ev than poker is.

Had a itch to play today and got a quick session in at HU. Won two 60/40’s and called it quits as I couldn’t get much action and the dudes were super nits.
Had a call back from the company I interviewed with. They said “we’re interested and just wanted to touch base, we’re working some things out on our end, will have details mon/tuesday.” So that’s definitely positive, it could be they’re positioning me somewhere else or on a different project than what I interviewed for. We’ll see, I also met with the USMC officer selection officer and discussed that a bit.
Pretty sure I’m coming out of that 100k break even stretch (knock on wood), can only hope for the best.
Also thinking about doing some sort of promotional stuff with the blog/site for people. Just thought right now nothing set in stone.

Well I’ve been in contact with 2p2 and had a few emails with their advertising dept. I’m still in the process of trying to get a new name, looks like I have to drop the “VT” or else PERMA BANNNNN!!!
Vegas when I was out there with my friends was sweet. FT’d a Caesar’s mtt, ran 99 into AA 6 handed, but overall made money on poker. It definitely helped me pay for the trip and with air fare it only cost me 500 total for 3 nights of ridiculousness.

My bro is out in Vegas along with a lot of others, I really don’t have that large of a desire to go out so I most likely won’t be going. I just came back from Vegas and I don’t care about playing all that much right now. I do hope acon run’s hot as I have 5% of him.

I’m concerned with our relationship lately. We use to get along so well together and seemingly fit perfectly together. Lately though it seems you have elected to anal rape me over and over again with ridiculous backdoor flush draws, gut shots, 3 outer’s, 2 outer’s, and even today, the final straw that broke the camels back, the one outer. Why must you do this to me? How long do I have to break even until you will move on to the next poor soul and terrorize his life. Is all of this really necessary? Do I really need to run KK into AA vs every total random that you decide to put on my table? When has A6o been such a powerhouse vs AA aipre? Can I have the over set just once? Italy was the stone cold nuts. The trip exceeded expectations and we all had the greatest time. Downloading all my pics and will upload a few of the best ones soon. It was a refreshing break from life and I truly forgot about any problems.

Three weeks of great traveling with friends was well worth it. I came back the other day, went to see the girlfriend, and played today. Two set vs sets 
and I was on the losing end. LOL welcome back! I’m excited to grind a bit and get out of this break even stretch which is on about 90k hands now.
Hitting up vegas on the 13-17th with some non poker friends which will be fun because none of them play cards at all and we’ll do most of the non gambling stuff. Reason for the trip is really because of our friend getting shipped out to Afghanistan soon so he wanted to go, obv I wouldnt say no.

Going to Italy with bro and two good friends. My buddy won a EPT San Remo seat, so we’re all going to travel Italy for 19 days in April. Still going stong at -.38 bb/100 win rate. Fun times! Haven’t fully committed to getting a job or poker in this stupid quasi state really, prolly degen idk. Paid taxes….sigh….

February is done with and I’m definitely happy about it. Not to much went right in the entire month life and poker wise so here’s to a new start.
I’ve decided to withdraw about half my BR, drop limits, and invest a bunch (especially with market less than 7000). I’m going to grind 200nl for this month to right the ship and get back to basics. I’m on about 60k hands of break even/losing which I suppose is standard, but I’m not about being standard. It’s going to be hard to stay at 200nl all month, but discipline is a huge factor in the success of a poker player so this is what I’ll do. It’s been difficult to get motivated to play when the mental aspect isn’t there. When you expect to have bad events happen you just can’t play effectively.
I’m still looking into jobs, the market is what is to be expected in the biggest economic downturn in 30 years. I talked to acon about this and how all I wanted to do was take some time off school, play some cards, and relax. WTF! Economic downturn, poker downswong, business failures can all just be summed up with a big L-O-L.
Here’s to March, I’m going to try to post more and actually put up some good info which I got away from a lot.
